Returning citizens and women encouraged to apply! (They must be enrolled with Transform Milwaukee)

The Cream City Conservation Corps is is offering paid training in green infrastructure. Green infrastructure is an approach to water management that protects, restores, or mimics the natural water cycle.

The starting wage is $10 per hour, with pay of $15 per hour possible. Employment starts in April.

Employees will work in Milwaukee County and city parks, Milwaukee Public Schools grounds, and other public green spaces. Eligible participants must be Milwaukee County residents, at least 21 years old, able to work outdoors, able to lift at least 35 pounds, and have full mobility.

Opportunities for PAID training!
CERT School is a school for 12th grade students ages 18-20. It provides paid ($275-$300 per week) work experience and allows participants to earn their commercial driver's license while exploring career options. Participation is limited to city of Milwaukee or Racine residents. 

CERT stands for Certification & Emergency Response Training. CERT is a fully accredited affiliate of the Great Lakes Community Conservation Corps.

The Milwaukee Community Service Corps offers industry-recognized credentials through its seven-week Fast Forward program. Fast Forward provides the skills and experience needed to get jobs in construction, manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, environmental sciences, landscaping, and building rehab and maintenance. The program pays $11 an hour.

The Bottomless Closet provide work-appropriate, gently used clothing and supportive services to men and women entering or re-entering the workforce. It also provides information about personal appearance, hygiene and grooming, appropriate body language, and communication and interviewing skills. Provides help with job searching and preparation

Partners with the state, local government, public and private employment and training providers, and community- and faith-based organizations to provide employment services returning individuals. Employment services are provided pre- and post-release, including career planning (access to the Job Center of Wisconsin, resume building, job searching, skill assessments, etc.), skill training, and supportive service referrals.

Faith-based jobs initiative to connect people with employers.

The Joseph Project is a faith-based jobs initiative to connect people with jobs.  Participants go through a weeklong life skills training program and then are offered a chance to interview with companies looking to hire.

They offer m
anufacturing jobs placement with transportation for graduates of their one-week Joseph Project class.

They're looking for serious job seekers seeking positive life change. A drug test is required for employment.

Orientation is every Wednesday morning at 9:45 a.m., open to anyone who wants to find work. Come on time, dressed for success, with a pen and a resume if possible.
